Finding your true calling is a journey. Some find it quickly and travel that road for a life time. Others
take different roads to find their true calling. My philosophy of teaching
has been transformed by a life filled with young people at every turn.
My approach carries with it a responsibility for each of my student’s learning journey. It is not my intention to pass through anyone’s life and not leave a learning memory.
In the classroom or outside the classroom, I must be a role model carring myself with energy, enthusasium and virtues to pass on to my students. Without a doubt, the students will remember my character longer than the facts on my handouts. I must remember this minute by minute engaging the
students in events that will build learning memories. Remember this!
Information must be presented in exciting ways. My philosophy tells me that engaging the students of today demands that I enter the technological world. By embracing the social media and technology of the digital world, I must prepare my students for competition in the global world.
